Mary Ellen (McWhorter) Schultz

    Our dear mother, Mary Ellen (McWhorter) Schultz, 85 years young, of Londonderry, the daughter of the late James Edwin and Audria Eugenia (Peck) McWhorter, was born on March 18, 1938, in Londonderry, Ohio and graduated from Allensville High School. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, became God’s newest angel on March 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She always tried her best to live by God’s plan and after two recent surgeries, her body became too weak and God decided that it was “her time.”

    Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, JoAnn Waldron, of Londonderry; brother, James Edwin (Janice) McWhorter, of Columbus; daughters, Debra Lynn (Al) Griggs, of Lubbock, Texas, and Lisa Marie (K.T.) Taylor, of Londonderry; grandson, Jason (Nikki) Griggs, of Lubbock, Texas; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Paxton; and grandson, Tanner (Paige) Griggs, of Justin, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Raylan and Scarlett; great-grandson, Austin Harris (her special helper), of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, George Harris, of Jones Creek, Texas, and Matthew Culberson, of Palmer, Texas; also, her ever faithful watch dog and companion, Lily; and caretaker, Amanda Atwood; sister-in-law, brother-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

    Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Gizzolli and George Schultz; and grandson, Joseph Harris.

    To our mother in Heaven, thank you for always loving us and guiding us through our lives. Even though you are no longer here with us, we will always feel your unconditional love and will be forever in our hearts. The fond memories and love will live in every person’s heart that she touched. Love you so much mom.

   A graveside celebration of her life and entry into Heaven will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024 (her birthday) at 1:00 p.m. at Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry with Pastor John Nunley officiating.
