Glenn Bryan Steele
Glenn Bryan Steele, 65, of Columbus, formerly of Kingston, passed away on March 13, 2024, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born on January 18, 1959, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Glenn Russell and Kathryn May (Metcalfe) Steele.
Bryan is survived by his beloved son, Christopher (Lisa) Steele; four grandchildren, Mackenna Hamner, Miley Hamner, Jax Steele, and Kai Steele; siblings, Deborah Louise (Charles) Pockras, Deanna Lynn Elliott, Glenda Kay (Dennis) Cornett, and Robert Oakley Steele; and numerous other special family members and friends whom he cherished.
Bryan was a 1977 graduate of Zane Trace High School and earned numerous awards for his 4-H projects at the Ross County Fair and Ohio State Fair. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business from The Ohio State University. Bryan had a passion for animals, nature, cooking, gardening, and planting trees. He also had compassion for those in need, often providing food and toiletries to the homeless. When it came to friends and family, he loved to shower them with small gifts to show how much he cared about them.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Rev. Barry Bennett officiating. A private burial will be held at the White Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 23 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Hill's. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in the form of planting trees in honor of Bryan's passion for nature.
