Donald Chapman Marshall

    Donald Chapman Marshall, 86, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 25, 1931, in West Virginia, the son of the late Chester and Ruby (Richey) Marshall.

    Don was also preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice (Rose) Marshall; brothers, Ted and John Marshall; sisters, Opal Forsythe, Tessie Shaub, Rosalie Shoemaker and Flo Young; and good friend, Emerson Haddox.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 21.5 years, Emma (Claytor) Marshall, of Chillicothe, son, Donald (Tereasa) Marshall, of Laurelville; step-children, Debbie (Paul) Bayse, of Bainbridge, Sandy Carroll, of Chillicothe, Tom (Lydia) Carroll, of Orient, Jackie (Kevin) Strous, of Chillicothe, and Michael (Gwen) Claytor, of Chillicothe; brother, Fred Marshall and sister, Genevia (Marshall) Jennings, both of West Virginia; grandsons, James (Kelsey) Marshall, of Circleville, and Daniel Marshall, of Chillicothe; step-grandchildren, Teresa Gray, Jason (Mel) Basye, Danny (Bekah) Carroll, Darren (Robin) Carroll, Jeremy (Jessica) Carroll, Nicole Carroll, Tasha Clifton, Cody Lemaster, and Justin (Alex) Claytor; numerous great grandchildren; special friends, Jim (Lee) Roberts, Willard (Fern) McCray and more friends too numerous to name.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25 at 10:00 a.m. at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, Kingston with Willard McCray and Jim (Lee) Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. at Hill’s. Condolences can be made on Don’s online guest registry at www.hillfhkingston.com.
